Optical IllusionsStare at the dot in the middle of the image for about 30 seconds and then move your mouse pointer over it, whilst still staring at the dot. It's colour, right? Wrong! it's black and white! Look at the lines in the image below. They seem curved, maging the image seem like it's bulging, but amazingly, they are all completely straight! Hold a piece of paper up to the screen to see how straight the lines are.
Stare at the cetre of the spiral for 30 seconds and then look at an object or your hand. It looks distorted and wobbly!
Did you know that where your optic nerve joins your eye, you don't have vision, so there's a blind spot right in front of you. Your brain guesses what's there, so you can't see it unless you try this. Close your left eye and stare at the X with your right eye. Slowly move your head closer to the screen until the dot disappears. That's your blind spot!
Stare at the cross in the middle of this image. A green spot appears, moving around the image. It then eats all of the pink spots! All this is done by your brain!

Your brain identifies shadows and compensates for them without you even knowing. To prove it, look at the image below. A and B are exactly the same colour! If you don't believe me, move your mouse pointer over the image.
