Free Coin Tricks

The Effect:
You place a coin onto the back of your fist, rub it with your right hand and it penetrates your fist, dropping onto the table below!

The Method:
This is a nice simple trick, although it does take some practice before performing it for any spectators.

Hold your left arm out with fist clenched so that the hole above the thumb is facing towards you. (Your arm should face to the right.)

Place a coin onto the back of your fist and begin to rub it with your right hand. As you do this, carefully slide the coin towards the hole above your left thumb. Use your left thumb slightly to guide it in. Practice this to the point where you don't have to tilt your left hand at all. It should look very smooth.

Now take your right hand away to reveal that the coin has vanished. Then open your fist slightly to allow the coin to drop onto the table.

Do not underestimate the power of this trick. It may seem simple as you know how it's done, but it WILL amaze people.

The Effect:
You place a coin into your left hand and then close it into a fist. When you open it, the coin has vanished!

The Method:
This trick is very simple and powerful, but requires a gimmick.

Drill a small hole in one edge of a coin and tie the end of some elastic to it. Tie the other end of the elastic to a safety pin and attach the pin to your clothing inside your right sleeve, just under your armpit. The elastic should be the correct length, so that it shoots up your arm when you release it with your hand.

Hold the coin between your right index finger and thumb, so that your fingers conceal the hole and elastic. Place the coin into your left palm and begin closing your left hand whilst your right fingers still hold it.

Just as your left hand closes enough to obscure the coin from the spectators view, release it with your right fingers so that it shoots up your sleeve.

The rest is just presentation. Say a few magic words and slowly open your left hand to show that the coin has disappeared!

The Effect:
You throw a penny into your hand a couple of times and then close your hand around it. When you open your hand, it has turned into a pound!

The Method:
Place the pound into your right hand fingers (known as the finger palm) and hold the penny between your right index finger and thumb. Only the penny should be visible.

Throw the coin into your left palm a couple of times and pick it back up again.

This time, pretend to thow it again, but instead retain it and drop the pound into your left palm instead. Immediately close your left hand around the pound.

Conceal the penny in your right hand and as you slowly open your left hand, ditch the penny into one of your pockets. The spectator will see that the coin in your left hand has turned into a pound!
